This trip is aboard Tusa 5, an 84 foot Catamaran with a maximum of 60 divers and a Dive Staff of 10. It is for 1 day, and allows 3 dives.
Departure Information
Departure is from E Finger, Marlin Marina, Cairns at 8:00 AM every day, return time 4:00 PM.
The Dive
A long list of elated clients has shown us that Tusa Dive has the highest service level of any one day dive trip in the area. The number and quality of their staff and no doubt largely responsible for the good feedback we get. We also like the fact that Tusa Dive has so many dive sites to choose from, which means that they can select the best snorkeling and diving available, for almost and weather and tidal conditions.
On this trip you will dive two different reefs. You will have almost five hours to make three dives, and to explore the reef with mask and snorkel. Snorkelers will also have the chance to go on a guided snorkeling tour of the reef area, or to try an introductory scuba dive.
The Boat
Tusa V was launched in September of 2007, and has been custom designed by Tusa Dive to be a premier dive vessel, and provide a fast comfortable trip to and from the reef.
Bristling with all the latest technology, the boat has flat screen monitors, lounge style seating, large sun and dive decks, as well as water level entry platroms for easy access to the reef. An on board photo pro and digital camera rental service allows for you to take home a CD of images of the reef that you have taken.
While the boat is licensed to carry 120 passengers, Tusa sets the limit at 60 passeengers to ensure a lots of space for everyone. Their ratio of staff to passengers is 1:6, ensuring that there is always guidance, help and advice available.
